When 17-year-old Jacquie Lee competed on season 5 of NBC’s “The Voice,” she knew she wanted to devote her life to singing.

It turned out to be a good career choice: Jacquie finished as runner up in 2013, and recently signed a deal with Atlantic Records.

Though she loves what she does, being a teen and professional singer comes with drawbacks. As she told LiveStarringYou.com before a recent show in Niagara Falls, New York on The Voice Tour, Jacquie has to handle living the life of an adult while still being a kid. She shared with us how she deals with stress, uses visualization to prepare for performances, and what it’s like working with some of her music idols including Christina Aguilera and Ed Sheeran.
