Everybody goes to school and everybody knows someone who is the class clown. But not everybody spends their high school years on television, and not everybody goes to school with TV stars!

Jennifer Stone is one of those few.

Jennifer, who is now 20, spent most of her teen years playing Harper Finkle on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, which means millions of fans watched her grow up.

“It’s just like high school under more of a magnifying glass,” said Jennifer, who will be appearing with seven other Disney and Nickelodeon stars on the upcoming Tween Stars Live Tour. “It’s like high school times 10 because when you’re going through your awkward years, everybody can see it, and you know, you’re not supposed to be awkward, ever.”

Jennifer wasn’t alone, though. Her Wizards co-stars were all teens, too, and they went to their own version of high school on a sound stage, in a makeshift classroom, with a studio teacher. Jennifer was able to watch all of her lessons on DVD and then took homework, quizzes and test on the material.

For the first year, it was Jennifer and co-stars Selena Gomez and Jake T. Austin. But that didn’t last long!

“Jake and I are so funny when we’re together,” Jennifer said. “I don’t even know how to describe it. We just sort of, like, make fun of everything, and we just are real smart alecks a little bit. All in good fun, nothing detrimental.”

But it was enough to make the teacher split them up!

“We just would just get Selena going and you know, it wasn’t a good formula for studying and homework and all that,” Jennifer said laughing.

For the last three years, it was Selena and Jennifer in one classroom and Jake in another.

Having known Selena for so long, it is peculiar for Jennifer to see her all dolled up on magazines covers and covered on T.V. constantly.

“It’s very bizarre to me, because it just doesn’t seem like her,” says Jennifer, who is now taking college classes and starting work on a Nickelodeon show called Bedtime Stories. “The Selena that I know and love is very much a sweat pants, ponytail and baseball cap kind of girl. So whenever I see that version of her, obviously she looks beautiful and I love seeing her all dolled up like that, but it’s not the Selena that I know. So it’s like a different person, it’s very weird to me.”
